Aquavitae is launching its first ever open mic night on Sunday 29 April 2018.

The cocktail bar is looking for singers, poets, comedians, dancers, actors and musicians to take part, but the venue is asking for people to sign up in advance.

Slots on the night will be between five and eight minutes long, and performers are encouraged to bring along their friends for extra support as they entertain the crowd.

Matt Nolan, events manager for Aquavitae told SoGlos: ‘We’re aiming to run the open mic night monthly. Acoustic acts are welcome, but a sound system will be provided. Of course, it depends on the complexity of the needs of each act, but a mic and PA system will be available.’

The event will be free to enter for both performers and spectators.
