Cotswold market town is one of the UK's best dog-friendly dining destinations

Dog owners in the Cotswolds can treat their four-legged friends to a delicious day out, with one of its most popular market towns being ranked one of the best destinations for dog-friendly dining in the UK.

Stow-on-the-Wold has been ranked one of the best destinations in the UK to dine with your dog.

The pretty market town earned a place in the top 10 spots for dog-friendly dining, thanks to its 40 restaurants, cafes, pubs, bars and bakeries that welcome four-legged friends — not to mention invigorating walks in the surrounding Cotswold countryside. 

Stow-on-the-Wold placed fourth, behind Bowness-on-Windermere which came first, followed by Bakewell in Derbyshire and Llandudno in Wales which came in second and third place respectively. 

According to the report compiled by Canine Cottages using data from TripAdvisor and Google, 37 per cent of dog owners say they struggle to find dog-friendly restaurants and cafes on holiday.
