Businesses and organisations across Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds are going above and beyond during the Coronavirus crisis.

From home deliveries to drive thru services, they are doing everything they can to keep the people of Gloucestershire well-fed, feeling positive and supporting local and independent businesses.

The Fairview Gardener in Gloucester

The Fairview Gardener is celebrating local heroes with its competition, giving away a £50 voucher and afternoon tea for four to use upon its reopening. To enter, nominate your hero on The Fairview Gardener’s Facebook post via facebook.com/The-Fairview-Gardener.


The Fountain Inn in Gloucester

To raise money for the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity, The Fountain Inn is hosting a virtual pub quiz every Sunday. The first quiz took place on Sunday 29 March 2020, bringing together the local community even though the pub itself is closed. So, grab a pen and paper and round up your household team. Gloucestershire Bike Project in Gloucester

Gloucester bike shop is donating its refurbished bikes to key workers who need them to travel to and from work. The bikes are available to health and social care workers, supermarket staff and other key workers, who are busy doing their part keeping the country going. Although Gloucestershire Bike Project’s shop is temporarily closed, it is still open for emergency repairs of bikes belonging to key workers. Cotswold Farm Park

Cotswold Farm Park is donating disposable aprons, gloves and hairnets to the NHS staff at its local medical centre to help keep them safe while treating patients.


Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham


The staff at the Everyman Theatre made sure none of the perishables from its café and restaurant went to waste following its temporary closure and made sandwiches for local homeless shelter, Cheltenham Open Door, instead.


Bacon Theatre in Cheltenham

While it’s closed, Bacon Theatre is unstocking its bar and donating the contents to a local food bank to help families in need during the Coronavirus crisis.


Superdry in Cheltenham

Superdry Creative Centre in Cheltenham has announced that it will donate organic cotton essentials to NHS frontline workers, who would love some fresh, new, comfortable clothes to come home to after a long shift. Julian Dunkerton, CEO of Superdry, announced he will triple any donation made through the Just Giving page, where anyone can donate via justgiving.com.


Sibling Distillery in Cheltenham

Sibling Distillery are making hand sanitiser from their own alcohol to help combat the shortage during the pandemic. They’ve already been supporting the Gloucestershire Police, care homes and healthcare professionals.


Mr Whippy in Cheltenham

Mr Whippy is delivering ‘essential bundles’, priced at £15 each, filled to the brim with an assortment of milk, bread, treats, vegetables and toiletries. The Green Coffee Machine in Cheltenham

Get your caffeine fix with The Green Coffee Machine’s coffee bean delivery service in Cheltenham. Neal’s Yard in Cheltenham

Although the shop is closed, you can still order Neal’s Yard products for collection outside of the shop every Friday from 11am to 2pm. Products include handwashes and hand defence sprays, as well as vitamin D – for those who are missing it.


Lumiere Restaurant in Cheltenham

Cheltenham’s Lumiere Restaurant is teaming up with its grocery supplier, Wellocks, to provide essentials to locals. You can place an order online and pick it up from the restaurant in Cheltenham, avoiding the queues and contact at supermarkets. Lumiere is also offering further services to key workers, such as home deliveries and additional essentials. If you need additional help, email Helen at info@lumiere.cc. Orders placed by midday will be ready for collection between 1pm and 6pm the following day.


The Cheltenham Trust

The Cheltenham Trust is offering a food hub service, delivering essentials to those who are self-isolating or who are unable to leave the house. Gloucestershire County Council has also launched a community help hub, for those who do not have connections such as friends, family or neighbours available to help them. 288 Bar and Wok

Although 288 Bar and Wok is now closed, it made sure none of the fresh noodles or vegetables went to waste as it donated them to a local food bank.


The Woozy Pig

The Woozy Pig street food and event catering is offering boil in the bag ready meal deliveries using local produce, including brisket chilli with chipotle rub.


Cheltenham College

Cheltenham College is giving NHS workers a place to park by opening their main car parks to NHS staff, and making car parking spaces available for emergency vehicles at their boarding houses.


The Lucky Onion

While their venues are closed, The Lucky Onion has been donating food and perishable items to hospitals, food banks and local people in need, pledging to help their teams and customers through this period.


The Portland Guesthouse in Cheltenham

The Portland Guesthouse in Cheltenham is offering free stays to frontline workers who need to self-isolate from anyone affected in their home. There are seven en-suite bedrooms available immediately. For more information, call (01242) 906600.



Waitrose in Cheltenham

Waitrose stores across the country including Cheltenham are making sure NHS workers can get the essentials they need, and offering priority treatment at the check out.

Temporarily closing its doors, the Barn Theatre in Cirencester is not only asking for donations to avoid permanent closure, but is streaming shows from popular clown, Tweedy to keep everyone’s spirits up.


The Long Table in Stroud

Whether you’re self-isolating, or know someone who is, you can now order freshly cooked, healthy ready meals from The Long Table. At £25 for seven meals, the frozen dishes come in degradable packaging and are microwavable. Whether you’re a keen crafter or are picking up a new skill while at home, Cotswold Needlecraft are offering a free, contactless delivery service. From knitting to crochet, patchwork to tapestry, learn a new hobby during lockdown.


Jolly Nice Farm Shop

Jolly Nice Farm Shop is offering a new delivery service for customers who are over 70 or are self-isolating, with an order form available on their website. It’s also giving NHS staff, volunteers and key workers priority shopping from 8am to 9am every weekday, and 6pm to 7pm at the weekend.


Jesse Smith butchers in Cirencester

Jesse Smith butchers have launched an online shop and delivery service in light of the Coronavirus crisis. Locals can order fresh vegetables, milk, bread and meat online and have it delivered straight to their doors.


Corn Hall Deli and MBB Brasserie in Cirencester

Corn Hall Deli and MBB Brasserie in Cirencester are offering essential groceries and ready meals from the chefs at MBB Brasserie to order by phone or online for collection from Cirencester’s Corn Hall. Showing films to locals for 47 years, The Theatre Chipping Norton is launching a campaign in a bid to avoid permanent closure. For those who are able, The Theatre is asking current ticket holders to donate their tickets as a contribution to the venue.
