An award-winning craft brewery has set its sights on Cheltenham for its latest venue, with Siren Craft Brew taking over the former BrewDog bar at The Brewery Quarter.
The Brewery Quarter's BrewDog bar was one of the casualties when the chain closed 38 of its bars and brewpubs across the UK, following its sale to US giant Tilray Brands, and has been empty since shutting its doors in March 2026.
Siren Craft Brew is taking on the 3,300 sq ft unit, with the new Cheltenham venue being the brand's first outside of its home county of Berkshire.
Bringing an exciting new independent brand to Cheltenham town centre for the first time, the new venue will serve Siren's own award-winning beers and guest pours, as well as offering an 'elevated casual dining experience'.
Siren Craft Brew founder, Darron Anley, said: 'As we explored opportunities beyond Berkshire, The Brewery Quarter quickly emerged as one of the most attractive locations we looked at. Cheltenham has a strong reputation for quality food and drink, a thriving visitor economy and a customer base that actively seeks out premium experiences.
'The site itself offers a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase everything that makes Siren special – from fresh beer and exclusive releases to great food and hospitality. We're excited to bring the brand to a new audience and take this next step in our growth.'
Nikki Kontarines, director at Martin Commercial Properties which manages The Brewery Quarter, added: 'We're delighted to welcome Siren Craft Brew to The Brewery Quarter. They are one of the UK's most exciting independent beer brands and exactly the kind of operator that helps keep the destination fresh, distinctive and experience-led.
'For Siren to choose Cheltenham for its first venture outside Berkshire is a significant endorsement of both the town and The Brewery Quarter.'
Siren's official opening date is yet to be announced – keep following SoGlos for the latest updates.
