It's back! Montpellier Wine Bar reopens at its home of nearly 45 years in Cheltenham, in time for Race Week 2023.

Cheltenham's iconic and much-loved Montpellier Wine Bar is set to reopen for a week in March 2023, welcoming back customers under brand-new management - and just in time for Cheltenham Festival celebrations!

The popular bar – which has been trading for over 45 years, with a great reputation for drinking and dining – suddenly closed back in December 2022 without an explanation.

But according to a notice displayed on the building, customers will once again be able to visit the drinking spot during Cheltenham Race Week, from Monday 13 to Saturday 18 March 2023, before it closes its doors for an extensive refurbishment.

Although its permanent reopening date is yet to be confirmed, it's believed the historic bar plans to open from 10am until midnight from Monday to Thursday, 10am until 12.30am on Fridays and Saturdays and from 11am until 11pm on Sundays once the refurbishment is complete.
