Presented by The Cotswold Savoyards, political satire Iolanthe will deliver unmissable entertainment at Cheltenham Playhouse this autumn.

Running on selected dates between Friday 16 and Saturday 24 November 2018, the Gilbert & Sullivan opera offers a brilliantly funny, satirical fantasy. Based on W.S. Gilbert’s Bab Ballad ‘The Fairy Curate’, the story is set 25 years after fairy Iolanthe committed the ultimate crime of marrying a mortal.

Once she’s been pardoned, Iolanthe asks for help so that her half-human half-fairy son can marry Phyllis; but as the dastardly Lord Chancellor wants Phyllis too, the fairies have to intervene so that love can prevail…

Set to offer uplifting entertainment in Cheltenham, don’t miss the chance to enjoy the charm of Gilbert & Sullivan this November.
