The Roses Theatre is a thriving arts venue in the historic market town of Tewkesbury, offering a diverse range of live entertainment, spanning stand-up comedy, film, dance and drama, through to an eclectic mix of live music.

The arts centre, which was extensively refurbished in 2015, benefits from a 370-seat auditorium, along with a relaxing bar and coffee shop, perfect for enjoying a pre-show or interval drink.

Without a doubt the highlight of the Roses’ jam-packed programme is its Christmas pantomime – each year proves to be better than the last, with all the fun, magic and sparkle you’d expect from a traditional, family-friendly production.

The Roses regularly plays host to an eclectic mix of acts in its auditorium such as tribute bands, live orchestras and cabaret performances. Covering a spectrum of genres from rock, folk, big band and classical there’s something to suit all tastes in The Roses music offering.

The theatre also screens the widest range of films to be found in the area, from art house flicks to foreign cinema, as well as all the current blockbusters.

In addition to the varied schedule of films on offer, special screenings include Nappy Mondays for parents or guardians with babies under the age of 18 months.

The popular Live Screening programme gives audiences the chance to see live performances from the National Theatre, The Royal Shakespeare Company and the Metropolitan Opera.

The Roses also offers a host of workshops and classes for all ages, as well as its popular Youth Theatre programme designed to nurture budding stars of the stage.
