The Museum of Gloucester is celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with brand-new exhibition, Gloucester River of Hope.

To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the Museum of Gloucester’s brand-new exhibition, Gloucester River of Hope, is taking place from Friday 20 May to Sunday 12 June 2022.

The River of Hope is an arts-based learning project that links schools around the world by studying rivers – and is a central part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.

Children from 18 local schools are sharing their messages of hope for the future on flags inspired by the River Severn and the Goddess Sabrina in this new exhibition at the Museum of Gloucester.

Visitors to the museum are encouraged to follow the River of Hope to discover the children’s messages before sharing their own on social media, using the hashtags #GlosRiverOfHope, #HM70 and #PlatinumJubiliee.

The exhibition has been co-curated by the Museum of Gloucester and Kate Hazell from the Gloucester Schools Partnership.

Gloucester River of Hope is free to visit, with donations to the Museum of Gloucester encouraged to help bring more exhibitions like it to the community.
