Don’t throw your goods away this year, volunteers at the repair café in Cirencester are here to offer a helping hand in repairing your belongings.

Run by talented volunteers, Cirencester’s free repair café is lending a helping hand to those wanting to fix up their damaged goods, this March 2022.

On Saturday 12 March 2022, visitors to The Scout Hut in Cirencester can bring along their broken items to be repaired, helping them to avoid throwing things away or having to buy a replacement.

The repair café will be open every second Saturday of the month, with a team of skilled volunteers able to repair a plethora of household and personal items.

The repair café movement encourages people to fix the items they have, rather than replacing them, helping to reduce the volume of raw materials and energy needed to make new products, alongside cutting CO2 emissions – not to mention preventing fixable things ultimately ending up in landfill.

The initiative also encourages visitors to see their current possessions in a new light, appreciating their value that little bit more.
