A brand-new stage production of the award-winning musical, The Calendar Girls, is headed to Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre this September.
On stage from Tuesday 26 to Saturday 30 September 2023, the adaptation sees the death of a much-loved husband prompt a group of ordinary women in a small Yorkshire Women's Institute to do an extraordinary thing — creating a nude calendar to raise money for charity.
Turning preconceptions upside down, time will tell if the ladies are prepared for the emotional and personal ramifications they will face as they each blossom.
Written by Gary Barlow and Tim Firth and combining a cast of music, stage and television stars such as Eastenders Tanya Franks, Maureen Nolan, Lyn Paul, Amy Robbins, Paula Tappenden, Marti Webb and Honeysuckle Weeks, audiences can expect laughter, musical numbers and more iced buns than ever before.
