Fierce competition between top talent awaits at the Cornbury House Horse Trials, as it returns from Wednesday 10 September to Sunday 14 September 2025.

The prestigious five-day event is one of the most exciting international equestrian contests in the UK. Taking place with a stunning Cotswolds backdrop at Cornbury House in Charlbury, the event promises a showcase of the finest young horses and riders in the country as they compete in dressage, cross-country and showjumping.

Now in its sixth year, the event's founder, David Howden, said this year's edition 'will be a feast of top quality equestrian sport with great British Olympians and international competitors vying for the title of Leading Rider while the next generation of eventers showcase their skills'.

He said: 'It will be a celebration of the thoroughbred, with a brand-new class dedicated to former racehorses that carries and unprecedented first prize of £45,000.'

Away from the high-stakes sporting action, visitors will find a rich selection of locally sourced food and drink, as the event shines a spotlight on its 'From the Farm' initiative.

Expect displays from a host of the region's finest producers, including Cornbury Farm, Bruern Farms, Honeydale Farm and Diddly Squat Farm – all with stalls available to browse celebrating the best of Cotswold agriculture and gastronomy, alongside a wide range of beers and ales to enjoy from the onsite pub, The Wychwood Inn.

Youngsters haven't been forgotten, with their own immersive woodland craft tent.

There will be a variety of free activities to suit all ages and with children under 12 able to attend for free, it's a perfect event for families!

For discerning guests, the premium hospitality area offers the Endless Lunch by Mirabeau on Sunday 14 September 2025 – a relaxed feasting-style dining experience with open-fire cooking. Priced at an extra cost of £75 per adult and £45 per child, it has limited availability, so book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Ticket prices for Cornbury House Horse Trials 2025 range from £10 per person for entry on Thursday up to £55 per person for the full five-day ticket. Spectators on the Wednesday can witness all the dressage contests for free.

Parking is included with a valid ticket purchase.
