World-famous actor Ralph Fiennes is coming to Malvern Theatres this July 2021, brining his adaptation of T.S. Eliot’s Four Quartets to the nearby venue.

Local theatregoers will have the chance to see the world premiere adaptation, directed by and starring Fiennes, from Monday 19 to Sunday 24 July 2021 before it heads to the West End.

Reflecting on the nature of time, faith and the divine, the play is an adaptation of T.S. Eliot’s critically-acclaimed poems, which were mostly written when his work in theatre was interrupted by the closure of London’s playhouses during the Blitz.

With the work taking on new significance since the Coronavirus pandemic forced the live events industry into hiatus, Fiennes’s adaptation has been described as ‘magnetic’ and his ‘finest hour’ by reviewers.

The actor is famed for his roles in Schindler’s List, James Bond and as the evil Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series – with an accomplished stage career and Tony Award to his name, too.
