Travel back in time and experience Berkeley Castle in the midst of Civil War, for a fantastic Easter weekend of living history that promises to be fun for whole family.

Throwing it back to 1642, when King Charles I and Parliament battled it out for control of the English government, visitors can enjoy a whole host of historical activities taking place from Friday 15 to Monday 18 April 2022.

At Berkeley Castle, local people are being recruited to join the garrison – some less enthusiastically than others! – with living history performers from The Wardour Garrison, Devereux’s Regiment and The Troop bringing the seventeenth-century conflict to life.

There’ll be exhilarating arena displays, putting armies on horse and foot through their paces; as well as period music, have-a-go dancing and plenty of children’s activities to get involved with.

Civil War at Berkeley Caste is included in the price of admission, with tickets available to book via berkeley-castle.com.
