Gloucestershire’s foodies will be delighted that Gloucester Quays Food Festival is back this July 2022, with two days of delicious dishes, celebrity chefs and family fun.
After a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event is back, taking over the Quays on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July 2022, offering a packed menu including an open-air cookery theatre, artisan produce, street food stalls and live music.
This year’s open-air cookery theatre is being hosted by chef and TV presenter Chris Bavin, with the chance to see live cookery demonstrations from MasterChef 2022 champion Eddie Scott, TV chef Joe Hurd and family food writer Alex Hollywood on Saturday 23; with Michelin-starred celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, TV presenter and author The Dirty Vegan Matt Pritchard and MasterChef finalist Philli Armitage-Mattin on Sunday 24 July 2022.
All the demonstrations are free to watch, with no tickets required, but visitors are advised to arrive early if they want to catch a glimpse of their favourite chef, as all spaces are first come first served.
Alongside the celebs, Gloucestershire’s foodies can enjoy browsing 150 stalls selling everything from local delicacies to artisan alcohol; tuck into gourmet street food and sip local beers from the event’s pop-up bar; while enjoying live music to create a buzzing atmosphere.
Plus, there’s up to 70 per cent off top cookware brands like Denby, Le Creuset and ProCook at Gloucester Quays, for anyone who’s inspired to fire up their pans when they head home.
Gloucester Quays Food Festival is free to attend, with the action getting underway from 10am each day.
