World-class horse racing returns to Cheltenham Racecourse for the iconic Cheltenham Festival

Cheltenham Festival 2026 promises four action-packed days of gripping horse racing — including the iconic Boodles Gold Cup — at the jewel in jump racing's crown, Cheltenham Racecourse.

Bringing world-class racing to the Regency town, Cheltenham Festival returns to Cheltenham Racecourse this March 2026.

With a history dating back almost two centuries, Cheltenham Racecourse is the world-renowned home of jump racing – and from Tuesday 10 to Friday 13 March 2026, the world will be watching as Cheltenham Festival takes place once again, culminating in the iconic Gold Cup Day.

Champion Day at Cheltenham Festival 2026

The Cheltenham roar has become synonymous with the first day at the festival, Champion Day, which falls on Tuesday 10 March 2026.

Ladies Day at Cheltenham Festival 2026

Ladies Day returns for the first time since 2019 – and history-maker Rachael Blackmore has been appointed 'head of Ladies Day' for this year's event.

Taking place on Wednesday 11 March 2026, Ladies Day sees tens of thousands of racegoers bringing a splash of colour and a touch of high fashion to Cheltenham Racecourse. 

There's stunning displays on and off the track, including the BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Chase; the Fashion Awards rewarding the best-dressed attendees with incredible prizes, like luxury jewellery from Boodles; and the Ladies Day Centaur takeover, starting with the Racing De-Mystified Panel, hosted by Rosie Tapner, followed by a fashion show, then live DJs and special guests providing entertainment between races.

There's also a Shopping Village where attendees can pick up the hottest Ladies Day looks for themselves.

St Patrick's Thursday at Cheltenham Festival 2026

The action-packed third day of Cheltenham Festival, known as St Patrick’s Thursday, takes place on Thursday 12 March 2026, bringing plenty of Irish flair to the racecourse once again.

Thrilling racing, including the Ryanair Chase, is paired with live Irish music and dancing across six performance areas throughout the day.

There'll be unmissable performances from Guinness Village headliners, The Tumbling Paddies, who bring their electrifying energy to the event – including a post-racing finale.

Gold Cup Day at Cheltenham Festival 2026

The pinnacle of Cheltenham Festival – not to mention the most highly-anticipated event of the overall jump racing calendar – is undoubtedly The Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup, a roaring finale to four days of epic racing action.

How to get tickets to Cheltenham Festival 2026

Tickets are available now from thejockeyclub.co.uk/cheltenham-festival, with prices ranging from £54 per adult, per day for the Best Mate Enclosure; £75 per adult, per day for the Tattersalls Enclosure; or £109 per adult, per day for the Club Enclosure.

Multi-day tickets offer 20 per cent off additional days – and discounts are available for groups of six or more booking online in advance.

Guests can also book access to premium areas, including the Guinness Grandstand, from £48 per seat.
