A new restaurant, dedicated solely to delicious cheese and wine, will open in Cheltenham in mid-March 2019. Domaine 16 will open on Cheltenham’s Regent Street.
Going beyond the traditional cheese board, Domaine 16 will also offer charcuterie, fondues, cheese soufflés, organic and local wines, as well as relaxed tastings.
Set over three floors, the restaurant will offer seating for 40 people upstairs and a relaxed sofa area downstairs for around 12 people. It will be open from Tuesday to Saturday and hopefully in time for Cheltenham Race Week.
Headed up by owner Stephanie Ronssin and her team, Domaine 16 aims to provide a relaxed atmosphere for enjoying all things cheese and wine.
Speaking about the opening, Stephanie said: ‘There isn’t something in Gloucestershire that is for both cheese and wine lovers so we wanted to create that. ‘For me, it’s a real family passion and it’s about getting together to enjoy good food.’
Stephanie, who trained as a chef and used to be front of house at Cheltenham’s Le Champignon Sauvage and The Cheeseworks, will be bring her extensive knowledge of cheese and wine to the new restaurant.
