With the days getting longer, the nights warmer and lockdown restrictions easing, make the most of the fleeting British summer and soak up an outdoor film screening in and around Gloucestershire.

Film fans can look forward to a glam outdoor cinema programme at Cowley Manor, near Cheltenham, this summer – with titles including Dirty Dancing, Back to the Future, The Greatest Showman and E.T. The Extra Terrestrial being shown between June and September 2021 – thanks to the fabulous Alfresco Film Company.
The striking Berkeley Castle provides a dramatic backdrop for a screening of The Greatest Showman from The Lost Cinema, on Friday 30 July 2021. Gloucestershire’s film fans can also bring along their own picnic and blankets or opt for a guaranteed front row seat when booking.
Promising a fantastic summer evening in Gloucester, Over Farm will host an electrifying open-air cinema screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday 23 July 2021, as well as showing the classic Dirty Dancing on Saturday 24 July 2021 at these Alfresco Film Company events. Moviegoers will also be able to enjoy burgers, hot dogs, popcorn and drinks at the event, as well as drinks from the licensed bar.
Hideaway Cinema is transforming Cheltenham Racecourse into an amazing outdoor cinema experience, with screenings of The Greatest Showman; Dirty Dancing; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2; Grease and Oscar-winning The Father from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 July 2021.
The Alfresco Film Company is hosting screenings of classic love story Pretty Woman, Elton biopic Rocketman and the ultimate family adventure Jurassic Park in amongst the trees at the lush Cirencester Park, from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 July 2021.
With a dinosaur-sized screening of Jurassic Park on Thursday 29 July 2021 plus big tunes and even bigger laughs with Mamma Mia on the big screen on Friday 30 July, film fans can enjoy a wild night out at Riverside Park in Lechlade with the Alfresco Film Company
The historic Westonbirt House in Tetbury provides a gorgeous backdrop to a screening of Bridesmaids from The Lost Cinema on Friday 3 September 2021 – with moviegoers welcome to bring their own picnics and drinks or treat themselves to something from the on site bar.
