10 Gloucestershire carol concerts to get you in the festive spirit

Join Cheltenham Choral Society for A Tapestry of Christmas Music at Pittville Pump Room on Tuesday 10 December 2019, with the traditional family concert featuring old favourites, modern songs and seasonal readings too.

Starting the countdown to Christmas, the magnificent Tewkesbury Abbey will host its glorious Advent Carol Service on Sunday 1 December 2019.

Friends of Montpellier Bandstand and Gardens will host an enjoyable evening within the pretty surroundings of Montpellier Gardens on Friday 13 December 2019, with its Christmas Carols concert featuring a mix of contemporary and modern tunes.


4. Carol concert at Berkeley Castle


Orchestra Pro Anima will perform a Christmassy concert on Sunday 8 December 2019, sprinkling festive cheer on audiences at Berkeley Castle, with complimentary mince pies and wine for that extra Christmas sparkle.


5. Gloucestershire Music Christmas Concert at Pittville Pump Room


Joining together some of the best musicians in Gloucestershire, Pittville Pump Room will host a festive concert on Sunday 8 December 2019, performing all the Christmas classics.


6. Carols for All at Gloucester Cathedral


Head to Gloucester Cathedral for traditional carols and seasonal choral pieces on Saturday 14 and 21 December 2019. The Carols on the Hour concert will feature Caring Chorus, Cathedral Choir, Stuart Singers, Cathedral Junior Choir and Saint Cecilia Singers.


7. The Roses Choir carol concert at The Roses Theatre

Join The Roses Theatre’s resident choir in the theatre’s cosy bar area on Sunday 24 November 2019. Sing along to all the festive classics while tucking into mince pies and mulled wine.


8. Carol concert at Christ Church

Join local choir, Severn’s Eight, for an evening of festive carols at Christ Church on Thursday 19 December 2019. With Christmas readings, mulled wine and mince pies, it’ll definitely get you and the family feeling festive.


9. Carol concert at The Fairview Gardener

Father Christmas will be making an appearance at The Fairview Gardener’s festive evening on Friday 6 December 2019. Wrap up warm and join in with the Christmassy sing-a-longs at this family-friendly event.


10. Carol concert at Rococo Garden

Set in beautiful surroundings, Painswick Rococo Garden’s Christmas carol concert will feature local musicians and readers, celebrating the festive season. Taking place on Friday 6 December, the evening’s carol singing will be set inside Painswick Parish Church.
