Taking place in the quire of Gloucester Cathedral, there’s the chance to hear the world premiere of Ian King’s setting of Carol Ann Duffy’s poem, The Christmas Truce, on Saturday 24 November 2018.

Performed by the Gloucester Cathedral Choir, the mesmerising work tells the story of the unofficial ceasefire which occurred on the Western Front on Christmas Day in 1914.

Paired with Gabriel Fauré’s beautiful setting of the Requiem Mass, the piece promises a treat for audiences and fitting way to commemorate the centenary of the Armistice.
