Hear beautiful Christmas music from the Gloucester Cathedral choirs at Carols on the Hour this December 2023.

Filling the spectacular Gloucester Cathedral with glorious Christmas music, its family-friendly Carols on the Hour event takes place on Saturday 9 December 2023.

With recitals on the hour, every hour from 11am until 3.30pm, visitors can enjoy performances of Christmas music from the cathedral's choirs, as well as local music group the Caring Chorus.

The Cathedral Junior Choir starts proceedings with a performance at 11am; the Cathedral Middle Choir performs at 12pm; the Cathedral Youth Choir at 1pm; the Cathedral Boy Choristers sings at 2pm; then Caring Chorus rounds off the day with a performance at 3pm.

Offering what Gloucester Cathedral describes as a ‘bite-sized burst of festive praise’, each service lasts for 30 minutes and is suitable for the whole family, with everyone welcome.

Carols on the Hour is free to attend and doesn't require a ticket, but it's advisable to arrive early for the service you’d like to attend to guarantee entry.
