BookCheck X Ltd believes early demand for its new business suggests ‘unlimited room for expansion’ as more and more firms seek help with the move to digital accounting.

A new company specialising in the daunting task of transferring the accounts of working businesses of all sizes onto the latest cloud-based software has been launched by a Gloucestershire firm.

BookCheck X Ltd has spun out of parent company BookCheck, as a seismic shift to digital sees businesses big and small seek help migrating financial systems to platforms like market-leading Xero.

It is a service which comes with the offer of ‘add-on’ apps, giving even more instant insight into a business’s data, and a move that allows parent company BookCheck to focus on its core business of bookkeeping with management accounts.

Anthony Pilkington, managing director and founder of BookCheck, which itself grew 14 per cent last year and has 64 staff, said: ‘We created the new company so that there is 100 per cent focus on this area.

‘There is unlimited demand for assistance with this subject as Xero is the market leader and there is very little competition – it’s extraordinarily difficult to find our service elsewhere.’

Keri Baker, general manager of BookCheck X Ltd (MAD – Migration & Add-on Development), said: ‘The service covers migration to Xero and then assisting with systems and processes in Xero Add-on Development – such as handling purchase invoices, payments, debt chasing, expenses, stock control, order processing.

‘The job is completed professionally, with quality reconciled information on Xero and the client has not had to worry in any way about the task.’

Firms do not have to be existing customers of BookCheck before or after working with BookCheck X Ltd.
