A new theatrical circus course, led by Stroud-based NDP Circus and School of Larks, is coming to Woodchester Mansion near Stonehouse, this July 2021.

Would-be performers will have the opportunity to hone their craft within the stunning setting of Woodchester Mansion on the intensive two-week course, from Monday 19 July until Sunday 1 August 2021.

The course will involve circus, clowning, dance and physical theatre workshops incorporating scenes and characters from Victor Hugo’s iconic novel Notre Dame de Paris.

Participants don’t need any professional arts experience, anyone aged 16 or over with a working knowledge of the English language can apply.

The course costs £350 per person, which includes all workshops and lunch from Monday to Friday on both weeks, plus a performance day on Saturday 31 July 2021 – with concessions available. Applications close on Thursday 10 June 2021.
