Cheltenham’s hotly anticipated rooftop restaurant is one step closer to opening, with construction firm Beard completing building work on the structure of the Quadrangle building.

Beard has just marked the topping out of the refurbished 1970s landmark, celebrating completing the currently empty shell that will become home to the new rooftop venue.

The Quadrangle will also include four storeys of contemporary commercial space, providing office and retail units near Cheltenham Town Hall. Overlooking the Promenade and Imperial Gardens, it will be the first rooftop addition to Cheltenham’s exciting bar and restaurant scene.

Jamie Harwood, operations director at Beard, said: ‘Buildings such as the Quadrangle are important to the towns and communities they serve. We have been committed – even with the difficulties imposed by Covid-19 – to keeping this important work on track.’

Work is expected to be completed on the Quadrangle at the end of February 2021.
