From now on, cocktails served in the dedicated lounge at The Old Stocks Inn in Stow-on-the-Wold will be all the more exclusive – made with its very own house gin, created by the Brennen & Brown distillery in Cheltenham.

'We wanted to create something that would perfectly distil the fun and inventive spirit of The Old Stocks, and our new gin does exactly that', said Pete Simpson, deputy manager and driving force behind ‘The Old Stocks Ginn’.

'We’re already known for our delicious drinks and exciting cocktail combinations and we can’t wait for guests and thirsty locals to try our unique gin', he added.

Expect a nice herbal note from the bay leaves, followed by a lingering spiciness from the pink peppercorn, finished with a hint of citrus and oregano, its robust flavour ideal for classic cocktails like martinis and negronis, as well as pairing with tonic.

'We’ve consistently pushed the boundaries to give guests and local residents something out of the ordinary to enjoy when they visit', says Simpson.

Since transforming the 17th-century coaching inn as part of a multi-million-pound renovation in 2015, the owners have also brought out The Old Stocks Little Book of Cocktails, sharing the secrets behind the hotel’s most popular cocktails.

The Old Stocks Ginn and the Little Book of Cocktails can both be purchased at the hotel.
