Please note, this event has been postponed. Tetbury will test fitness fanatics with a fearless streak when the Woolsack Races return to the Cotswold town in May.

Tetbury tough guys (and girls!) assemble at the annual Woolsack Races once again on Monday 25 May 2020, in a long-standing traditional display of strength beyond your wildest imagination.

Spectators will witness competitors hoist heavy sacks over their shoulders and trudge up and down the steep Gumstool Hill, along a challenging 240-yard course.

The event is sure to attract the usual huge crowds, which gather in their thousands to watch the race. Whilst offering their encouragement from the side-lines, visitors can also enjoy a lively array of entertainment, including live music, local stalls and amusement rides.

As always, this family-friendly day out is all for a good cause, and will push even the toughest and fittest of racers to their limits.

Please note, this event has been postponed. See Coronavirus event cancellations and venue closures in Gloucestershire for the very latest.
