Theatre and Shakespeare fans can settle down under the stars for an uplifting performance this summer, when Rain or Shine visits Painswick to perform Much Ado About Nothing, in association with the Gloucestershire Arts Council.

Shakespeare’s classic comedy will be brought to life on Saturday 1 September 2018, promising a merry war of words and plenty of wit, offering all the ingredients for another brilliant show.

Rain or Shine’s adaptation takes place in November 1918 after The Great War. Returning home are men from the British military including Don Pedro and his comrades, who arrive at the Cotswold village of Messina.

With plenty of laughs along the way, the story is one of revellers, rascals and romance, with characters tricking each other, adopting disguises, plotting, and falling in love.

Marking Rain or Shine’s 20th anniversary, join the talented troupe for an unforgettable night of Shakespearean comedy in Gloucestershire.
