Celebrating his 80th birthday, Sir Ian McKellen is bringing his solo show to Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre, raising money for youth theatre projects in Gloucestershire.

As part of a national tour to celebrate his 80th birthday, Sir Ian McKellen brings his one-man show to Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre in 2019.

The Everyman is one of 80 venues being visited on the tour and will mark the actor’s debut at the Regency theatre when he takes to the stage on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 May 2019.

Audiences will enjoy a performance from the world-famous actor in character as Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings, alongside anecdotes, acting, and a potential opportunity to act with him on stage.

The Everyman will also benefit from the performances as proceeds from both nights will provide bursaries for young people in Gloucestershire, giving them access youth theatre.
