The ‘gut-busting’ West End comedy hit, The Play That Goes Wrong, will be coming to Cheltenham as part of the Everyman Theatre’s big summer re-opening season.

Gloucestershire theatre fans will finally be able to see the West End hit The Play That Goes Wrong, when the award-winning comedy comes to Cheltenham for two weeks, as part of the Everyman Theatre’s big summer re-opening season.

Described as Fawlty Towers meets Noises Off, the comical whodunnit will be on the Everyman’s stage from Tuesday 20 July to Sunday 1 August 2021, with tickets likely to sell-out.

The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society are putting on a 1920s murder mystery, but as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong… does! As the accident prone thesps battle on against all the odds to reach their final curtain call, hilarious results ensue!

Dubbed ‘a gut-busting hit’ by the New York Times, The Play That Goes Wrong has garnered a host of celebrity fans, with Joanna Lumley saying: ‘We laughed until the tears ran down our faces, it has to be seen’, while Ant & Dec described it as: ‘The funniest show we’ve seen.
