Foodies and wine fans will be in heaven during The Maytime Inn’s Wine Tasting Evening this autumn, offering the perfect opportunity to enjoy delicious food and tasty tipples.
Returning to the Cotswold inn on Friday 23 November 2018, the delectable evening will see diners served a delicious five-course set menu encompassing canapés, starter, main, dessert and a cheese course, with each course to be accompanied by perfect paired wines, chosen by expert wine supplier Alberto.
What’s more following the meal, there’s the chance to purchase any favourite wines at trade price, offering the ideal opportunity to find new favourite labels and take something home.
Offering incredible value for diners, the evening begins with canapés of goats cheese mousse with sun-dried tomato and basil pesto bruschetta; chicken liver pate with onion marmalade on toasted ciabatta; and tuna tartar with ponzu.
Following this will be a starter of beetroot-cured gravadlax with pickled cucumber, orange segments, chive cream cheese; and a main course of pan-seared loin of venison with braised haunch, creamy mash, parsnip purée and red wine jus.
For a sweet finish, guests can enjoy dark chocolate and Guinness torte with white chocolate ice-cream and a jaffa shot; to be followed by cheese.
Please note, places are limited; organisers advise advance booking to avoid disappointment.
