Down for the Count presents Voices of Swing, a show-stopping celebration of some of the best music of the 20th century.

The Down for the Count 30-piece orchestra returns to Cheltenham Town Hall on Wednesday 24 May 2023 with its Voices of Swing show.

Featuring all the classics from the great Capitol Studios Hollywood era, expect to hear hits from Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald and many other iconic artists.

Voices of Swing also features original jazz arrangements and an exciting exploration of string instruments in big band hits – all delivered with Down for the Count’s infectious fun and energy, not to mention its top-drawer musicianship, sublime vocals and wardrobe fit for the silver screen.

Bringing the legendary music of 20th century composers like George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael and Irving Berlin to life, Down for the Count’s concert orchestra features some of the UK’s top jazz musicians and arrangers, under the expert baton of musical director, Mike Paul-Smith.
