As voted for by Gloucestershire audiences, promising festive fun and lots of laughter, Sleeping Beauty: The Pantomime of Your Dreams is this year’s panto at The Sub Rooms.
Sure to bring some festive magic to Gloucestershire, raising boos, hisses and heaps of laughs from the Stroud audience, Sleeping Beauty will be running from Friday 19 December 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026, offering theatregoers 27 opportunities to see the production.
As always, director Phil Dale promises another unmissable family show with a modern twist on the familiar tale as the beautiful princess is cursed to perish by the evil Carabosse on her 21st birthday, by pricking her finger on a spinning wheel.
Saved by the good fairies, she falls into a deep sleep and can only be awoken by her one true love...
Produced by the same team that brought you last year’s record-breaking production of Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood — PJD Productions — Sleeping Beauty: The Pantomime of Your Dreams will sprinkle Christmas cheer this December, with tickets already selling fast.
Plus, the venue is hosting two cheeky adults-only performances of its Christmas panto this year – oh yes it is! And while the story remains the same as the family-friendly show, the jokes are for more mature audiences.
