Destination Marketing Showcase at the Gloucestershire Business School


May opens with what is billed as a Destination Marketing Showcase at the Gloucestershire Business School at Oxstalls, Gloucester, on Wednesday 3 May 2023 from 3pm to 4.30pm.

The event will present the responses that University of Gloucestershire final year students have produced when asked to design new destination marketing material for the Cotswolds.

Focusing on a range of specific target markets, the showcase event will be hugely important for the students as it's a chance to understand how others view the attractions and facilities that are available across the Cotswolds destination area – while also picking up some new ideas and insights for your own marketing plans.

Network in Nature at Hartpury's Digital Innovation Farm

Business West, the umbrella body representing chambers of trade in the West Country, has partnered with Hartpury University and Hartpury College to bring what it calls ‘a unique and fun networking opportunity’.

Due to take place at the university and college’s Digital Innovation Farm at its campus just north of Gloucester, the event will offer an exclusive tour of the farm itself, its Tech Box Park, Agi-Tech Hub and Digital Skills Studio.

You will also learn about the innovative work the university is doing within the industry to educate the next generation. Wellington boots are advised!

The event is taking place on Wednesday 10 May 2023 from 3pm to 5pm.

Female Business Festival


Offering motivation, support and fun for entrepreneurs, the Gloucestershire Female Business Festival is sharing key industry knowledge during its exclusive event.

Taking place at Gloucester's Llanthony Secunda Priory on Friday 12 May 2023 from 9am to 1pm, eventgoers can expect to gain a valuable insight into topics including social media authenticity and wellbeing, from guest speakers such as activewear company director, Sara Da Silva; menopause wellness coach, Jo Weatherall; and philanthropist, Julie Kent MBE.

Plus, there'll be a brunch for guests to tuck into, a selfie booth and goody bags up for grabs. Sponsored by Late Knight Coffee, G Woods Photography, TITAN Performance, Fancy Pants Events and The Cotswold Collective. Tickets cost £36.50.

Cheltenham Networking

Everyone is invited along to this informal networking event in Cheltenham on Tuesday 16 May 2023.

According to the organisers, the gatherings are ‘relaxed, with no sales pitches or presentations, giving you the perfect opportunity to mingle’.

The Business Growth Show at Cheltenham Racecourse


Business owners in Gloucestershire are invited to the UK's largest business growth exhibition when The Business Growth Show comes to Cheltenham Racecourse on Wednesday 17 May 2023.

Organised by the Business Growth Network, the event aims to provide an exciting networking opportunity to businesses of all sizes and in all sectors, with over 100 exhibitors and 50 speakers in attendance.

Keynote speakers include serial entrepreneur Grant Stain and media expert Rachael Taplin, with two more yet to be announced, featuring panel discussions on finance, technology, marketing, law and wellbeing, as well as interactive seminars and workshops, too.

Strategy made easy - The Business Growth Roadmap

Due to take place at The Growth Hub in Mitcheldean in the Forest of Dean, this workshop will aim to help equip business people with strategies to cope with a surge in demand — or the opposite.

Aimed at businesses that find themselves at a strategic crossroads and need to understand what direction they are heading towards in the next 12 months, this session will help you gain a better understanding.

Clayton Manley of Business Doctors, who has an MBA with a specialism in strategy and was a managing director himself for 15 years, is leading this event, which takes place on Friday 19 May 2023 from 10am to 1pm.

Gloucestershire Business Lunch in Tewkesbury

The Business Growth Network is hosting its quarterly Gloucestershire Business Lunch in Tewkesbury this May 2023, offering a relaxed networking opportunity over tasty Italian food.

Guests are invited to meet and get to know local business people as they enjoy a leisurely lunch at Tewkesbury's Caffè e Vino on Wednesday 24 May 2023 from 12pm to 2pm.

Each event focuses on a new topic, with technology being the theme of this quarter's meeting.

Tickets cost £30 for early bird admission, while standard lunch tickets cost £35 and are available via Eventbrite.
