Bringing a brilliant line-up of classical, jazz and blues music to the Cotswolds, Guiting Music Festival is back with a jam-packed programme for 2023.

Taking place from Friday 21 July to Sunday 30 July 2023, there will be 10 live performances across 10 days with a series of open-air concerts in the picturesque village of Guiting Power, near Stow-on-the-Wold.

Performances at Guiting Music Festival

With another brilliant line up for 2023, classical, jazz and blues fans can look forward to a programme of talented performers including Clare Teal, Antonio Forcione, Anna Tsybuleva, Jess Gillam, Annelien van Wauwe and Van Kuijk Quartet, Paul Jones, John Etheridge and much more.

The festival will feature evening concerts and two Sunday open-air afternoon concerts, with the whole event aiming ‘to provide high quality music to as wide an audience as possible at an affordable cost’.

Bacharach, Dusty and Me Open Air concert at Guiting Music Festival

Taking place on Sunday 23 July 2023, the much-loved Sunday Jazz Open Air concert will return, this year featuring powerhouse and legendary New Jersey-born singer, Madeline Bell, performing alongside the BBC and Parliamentary award-winning singer and pianist, Ian Shaw.

Promising to be a real showstopper, audiences will see the two old friends weave a magical evening, packed with searing ballads and swinging songs from the American classic canon, as well as musical and showbiz stories during Bacharach, Dusty and Me.

Tom Fetherstonhaugh and the Fantasia Orchestra at Guiting Music Festival

During the 10-day long festivities, a special concert will take place when conductor Tom Fetherstonhaugh and the Fantasia Orchestra return on Thursday 27 July 2023.

The 10-member chamber orchestra will perform alongside one of Britain's most treasured musicians, Steven Osborne, playing an anonymous arrangement for strings of the Beethoven piano concerto No. 4 - along with pieces by Bach, Mendelssohn, Bacewicz and Dvorak.

Open Air Blues Show at Guiting Music Festival

On Sunday 30 July 2023, audiences can expect an afternoon of pure blues as the festival welcomes veteran performer, broadcaster, actor and lead singer of Manfred Mann, Paul Jones, as he performs with legendary guitarist John Etheridge.

The pair will be supported by one of Britain's finest blues guitarists, Chris Corcoran and his band.

Hospitality at Guiting Music Festival

Alongside the unmissable entertainment, there will be wine, beer and soft drinks available from the marquee bar, plus hot food on sale during outdoor Sunday concerts – with festivalgoers also welcome to bring their own picnics.

Post-concert suppers will be on offer in the garden room of The Old Vicarage, close to the Guiting Power Village Hall. The suppers include a main course, pudding and wine, all for £30. The festival also has a dog-friendly policy.
