Gloucestershire’s biggest awards made a real life comeback on the evening of Thursday 21 October 2021, when SGGLA sponsors, partners, finalists and special guests came together at Cheltenham Ladies’ College for a celebration of Gloucestershire’s lifestyle sector.
Having been planned by the SoGlos team for almost two years, as SGGLA 2020 was held virtually through Facebook Live, the exciting evening kicked off with VIP drinks in the Cheltenham Ladies’ College library, co-hosted by some of the team from headline sponsor Willans LLP solicitors. Before all guests made their way to the supper and drinks reception to enjoy gin and tonics from Cotswolds Distillery, a range of ales from Battledown Brewing Co. and freshly made pizza from Baz & Fred.
The breath taking Princess Hall was the setting for the main event, where guests gathered to be welcomed by SoGlos co-founders Michelle Fyrne and James Fyrne, before Steve Knibbs, Gloucestershire reporter for BBC Points West, compèred the evening and revealed the 2021 SGGLA winners – to the sound of rapturous applause from guests.
Thanks to headline sponsor, Willans; category sponsors 16i, The King’s School, Hazlewoods, Nuffield Health, Personal Best, Guano Crazy Printing, The Mortgage Brain, Gillman’s, Neptune Rum, Roberts Limbrick, Severn Wye Energy Agency, Visit Gloucestershire, Gloucester Carpet Outlet, Barrington Decorators, Move Property Sales & Lettings and Hooray Recruitment for their support of SGGLA in its fourth year.
While the event would not have been possible without the support of official partners and associates, Cheltenham Ladies’ College, Oasis Events, Battledown Brewing Co., Cotswolds Distillery, Baz & Fred, Richard Parsons Gloucestershire Magician and Cotswold Gold.
Last but not least, thanks also to Gloucestershire’s favourite photographer, Mikal Ludlow, for capturing the busy evening of awards action.
