A local community group is bringing a ‘Take One Leave One’ clothes rail to Cheltenham’s Promenade on Saturday 20 February 2021.
Take One Leave One Cheltenham is encouraging people to donate unwanted winter coats and warm clothes, so people in need can come and take them from the rail for free.
Thee group is asking for donations of washed winter coats, warm jumpers, hats, scarves and gloves, with hangers also coming in useful too.
It’s offering a contact-free pick-up service in the lead up to the event and will also be accepting donations on the day. Anyone wishing to donate at the event is asked to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. Volunteers equipped with PPE will be on hand to help.
Anyone who is struggling to afford warm winter clothing for themselves or their family is encouraged to come along and take what they need from the rail with no judgement and no obligation to leave something in return.
The Take One Leave One clothes rail will be on Cheltenham Promenade from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 20 February 2021.
