Jeremy Vine to chair debate in Cheltenham

Journalist and presenter Jeremy Vine will appear in Cheltenham this October, to chair an education debate at the town’s Dean Close School.

Discussing the future of education, an illustrious panel, led by BBC Radio Two host, Jeremy Vine, is to take place at Dean Close School this October.

The event will cover topics including ‘how can school leavers choose between vocational training, apprenticeships and university?’, ‘which qualifications give pupils the best chance in the future?’ and ‘how well are schools tackling mental health issues for young people?’

Taking place on Thursday 10 October 2019, Jeremy Vine will chair the panel alongside The Rt Hon Lord Blunkett; Cheltenham’s Conservative MP Alex Chalk, The Independent’s education correspondent, Eleanor Busby; Professor Richard Benham; and Dean Close Foundation’s warden, Emma Taylor.

The Question Time style event takes place in Dean Close’s Bacon Theatre between 7pm and 9pm, with tickets available for £5 per person, with under 18s invited for free.
