Royal International Air Tattoo cancelled due to Coronavirus

The Royal International Air Tattoo has been cancelled for 2020 following Government advice on Coronavirus.

The Royal International Air Tattoo, due to take place from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 July 2020 at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus crisis.

Following Government advice on social gatherings, organisers made the ‘difficult decision’ to cancel the 2020 event, and have apologised to suppliers, traders, local people and their parent charity for the impact the cancellation will cause.

Organisers believe that the Air Tattoo’s reliance on medical professionals, emergency services and military security teams would distract these vital services from their contribution to the Coronavirus crisis.

The event is scheduled to return in 2021 to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
