Packed full with fabulous local food and drink producers, Forest Showcase Food Festival is back for its 20th year, taking over the grounds of The Speech House Hotel on Sunday 4 October 2020.
SoGlos has rounded up this year’s highlights below.
With over 100 independent producers exhibiting everything from local beer to gourmet cuisine, the Food Hall is the perfect place to pick up a tantalising treat.
Aspiring cooks can also hear exclusive hints and tips from some of the area’s top chefs in the Cookery Theatre, or head to the Talks and Tastings tent sponsored by Forest Deli, where inspirational producers will be telling their stories and sharing their scrumptious produce.
From learning to make a delicious dish at family-friendly cookery workshops to meeting goats, guinea pigs and chickens at the mini farmyard, there’s plenty for children to enjoy at Forest Showcase Food Festival.
Clown around at a circus skills workshop, hosted by Jitterbug Circus, where kids can learn to stilt walk, plate spin and even unicycle. Or, hunt for produce in the Forest of Dean with wild chefs leading exciting foraging sessions throughout the day.
What’s more, visitors can expect live music, arts and craft stalls showcasing independent designers and entertainment in the Arena.
