Diners can expect everything from wine and cocktails to cheese fondue and tapas — as well as chocolate fondue, too!

LNO Piercing, Cheltenham

The first shop to open on the old Odeon site on Cheltenham's Albion Street, LNO Piercing will be opening Cheltenham's first and, currently, only piercing shop in the town.

An official launch date is yet to be confirmed but the shop plans to open its doors in June 2023.

PUMA, Gloucester Quays

PUMA is opening a new outlet store this June 2023, taking up a 2,184 sq ft unit at Gloucester Quays. The new outlet will be located opposite Le Creuset at the popular shopping destination and will stock men's, women's and kid's clothing and shoes, as well as dedicated sportswear collections including running, football and motorsport gear.

The PUMA store is due to open its doors on Thursday 29 June 2023.

The Hive, Tetbury

Describing itself as a cafe by day and cocktail bar by night, luxury hotel Calcot & Spa near Tetbury opens doors to its brand-new cafe lounge, The Hive, in June 2023.

The stylish lounge offers cosy nooks for 'informal grazing' throughout the day and an ambient location for cocktails when the sun goes down. Visitors can expect a menu featuring everything from share and graze seafood boards to brunching pastries and smoked salmon bagels; and impressive drinks including cherry mai tai, Earl Grey marteanis and Cotswold negronis.

The Hive is now open.

The Glasshouse Inn, Longhope

Reopening in June 2023, The Glasshouse Inn in Longhope will once again be serving up freshly cooked and local produce.

The new menu will feature starters such as fresh mushrooms with garlic cream and melted brie, as well as spicy chorizo, stir fry onions, peppers and croutons; minted lamb chops with dauphinoise potatoes, fresh vegetables and redcurrant reduction for mains; and daily fresh fish specials.

The Glasshouse Inn is now open.

Slice Bros, Cheltenham

Pizza fans rejoice! Adding to the rich foodie scene in Cheltenham, Slice Bros, a brand-new independent pizza cafe is set to open on the high street on Friday 16 June 2023 — and there's even a GCHQ-themed pizza on the menu!

Created by locals Jamie and David, who plan to bring 'a slice of New York' to the town, visitors can expect a menu including Triple Pepperoni; Hot Honey topped with chilli infused honey, jalapenos, hot banana peppers and Fresno peppers; as well as the GCHQ, described as Cheltenham's second worst kept secret, featuring ground beef, chicken, ham and queso cheese.

String, Cheltenham

Great news for crafters, a new wool and yarn shop, String, opens doors to its first ever shop in Cheltenham this June 2023.

Located at Lynworth Exchange on Mendip Road and part of Cheltenham Open Studios, keen knitters can find everything they need for crocheting and knitting — plus, owner Vicki Brown dyes unique yarn on-site, as well as writing crochet patterns for purchase, too!

String is now open.

The Crown Inn, Cerney Wick

Located near Cirencester, Anglo-Indian fusion pub, the Crown Inn and its Indian restaurant Asha, will reopen doors to guests on Tuesday 13 June 2023 after months of closure.

The Cotswold pub and restaurant will be offering an improved menu from its refurbished kitchen, along with a series of exciting summer events.

Toys 'R' Us, Cheltenham

After a five-year absence from the county, Toys 'R' Us is making its grand comeback on Saturday 17 June 2023.

Rather than opening a standalone store, the new Toys 'R' Us will be run as a concession with WHSmith in the town centre. Plus, excited visitors can expected an appearance from Geoffrey the Giraffe at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, welcoming children back, with the first 75 children visiting the store receiving an exclusive goody bag worth more than £20.
