Netflix reveals Sex Education season three release date

Netflix has finally revealed that season three of its hit show Sex Education will be released in September 2021.

Netflix has finally revealed that Sex Education season three will hit our screens this September 2021.

The streaming service took to Instagram to announce that the popular British comedy-drama, which is filmed in parts of Gloucestershire, will air its latest season on Friday 17 September 2021.

The post gives Sex Education fans a glimpse of the upcoming season – with images of a whole host of fan favourite stars including main character Otis Milburn, played by Asa Butterfield; his best friend Eric Effiong, portrayed by Ncuti Gatwa and Emma Mackey’s Maeve Wiley.

The sneak peek at season three, which features filming locations in the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley, also hinted at what viewers can expect, with the characters dressed in what appear to be uniforms, completely contrasting the 80s-style fashions they have donned in previous seasons.

The news of the release date comes not long after Aimee Lou Wood, who portrays Aimee Gibbs in the hit show, scooped the Bafta award for Female Performance in a Comedy Programme.

See Sex Education season three on Netflix from Friday 17 September 2021.
