From Saturday 24 November 2018, Winstones Ice Cream on Rodborough Common will be selling Christmas trees, and what’s more, you get a free hot chocolate with every tree purchase! Stocking locally grown Nordman spruces, a trip to Gloucestershire’s famous ice cream factory is the perfect place to start that festive feeling!
Situated on the outskirts of Stroud, The Nursery at Miserden offers a vast range of traditional and non-drop trees, spanning four to 12 feet tall and above, with Norway, Nordmann and Blue spruces, along with Fraser firs. The nursery also stocks seasonal pot plants, sprigs of holly and mistletoe, and wreathes that are perfect for adding some festive cheer to your front door.
Fosseway Garden Centre in Moreton-in-Marsh is transformed into a festive wonderland at Christmas time and from Wednesday 21 November 2018 stocks a range of Nordman firs. Choose from 60cm to 120cm potted trees, and 100cm to 300cm cut trees, with large sizes available on request. The garden centre also has a variety of Christmas decorations to give your tree an added bit of sparkle.
Get into the Christmas spirit with a trip to Daylesford Organic where, from the first weekend in December 2018, you’ll find medium and large Norwegian trees for sale along with a host of festive produce, from turkeys and ham joints to cheeses and delicious larder essentials. The farm shop is also a prime spot for Christmas shopping, with foodie gifts, artisan decorations, candles and much more.
Family-run Hayles Fruit Farm near Winchcombe is offering a selection of cut trees along with potted Christmas trees available for purchase or rent. Combine picking up your tree with a visit to the farm shop where you can stock up on seasonal veg, meat and cheeses along with Hayles’ award-winning cider, which makes an ideal festive tipple.
Ranging from two to 10 feet tall and stocking Nordmann firs, Norway spruce, Silver fir and Fraser fir, Gloucester’s Over Farm Market has a large variety of Christmas trees waiting to be discovered, with many grown on the farm. While you’re there you can also stock up on wreaths for your front door and a range of tasty local produce.
Situated between Stroud and Gloucester, Pound Farm Shop and Plant Centre offers a wide range of Christmas trees along with wreaths and seasonal posies. The farm also sells everything you could need for your Christmas dinner, from turkeys and sausages to mince pies and vegetables, while its hampers make perfect gifts for food-loving locals.
Family-run Cheltenham garden centre, The Dawn Nurseries, has a large selection of home-grown trees, with Norway spruces and lightly-scented Nordmann trees available. Plus, with holly, mistletoe, lights and a host of Christmas accessories also on offer, the nursery has all you need to transform your home into a winter wonderland.
Minchinhampton’s Tobacconist Farm is open throughout December selling a choice of real Christmas trees along with festive wreathes. The family-run farm also stocks a selection of top-quality free-range chickens, cockerels and locally-shot game, all hand-prepared and ready for the oven, leaving you more time to sit back and relax this festive season.
Situated in a former petrol station between Stroud and Cirencester, Jolly Nice is selling a bumper crop of Christmas trees this festive season, available from Friday 23 November 2018. Stocking cut Nordmann firs and Norway spruces, there are also potted trees available. Head to the Christmas yurt to stock up on hampers, gifts and produce galore, along with placing your turkey orders at the farm shop.
Find your tree and a host of seasonal delights at the newly extended Wotton Farm Shop, with traditional and non-drop cut Christmas trees available, in addition to holly, mistletoe and wreathes. The farm shop also sells logs, kindling and coal to make sure you keep warm this winter, along with free-range meats and seasonal fruit and vegetables.
Stocking three varieties of trees, Nordmanns, Blue spruces and Norway spruces, Cirencester Christmas Trees has an impressive selection of sizes and shapes to suit your home.
Beautifully scented dried fruit wreathes, mistletoe and decorations can also be found at the nursery, which has been supplying Gloucestershire with festive trees for over 30 years.
Independently-owned Tewkesbury Garden Centre will be selling fresh British Christmas trees, along with a choice of wreaths and garlands for decking out your home this December. And, if you’re still searching for a present for a garden lover, then there’s a host of tools, accessories, bulbs, pots and more to get your gift list sorted.
Cheltenham’s Primrose Vale has teamed up with Cotswold Fir Forestry to offer a range of trees spanning non-drop Nordmanns to traditional firs and spruces of all sizes. The farm shop, situated off Shurdington Road, also specialises in pot-grown trees along with its environmentally-friendly rent-a-tree service which is available from mid December.
In addition to selling top-notch free-range meat, eggs, fruit and veg, and store cupboard staples, Court Farm Shop near Cheltenham has a range of Christmas trees on offer. Choose from Norway Spruces and Nordmann Firs up to seven foot, while there are also pot grown tress available and bunches of mistletoe.
Head to the Cotswolds to stock up on your Christmas tree at the family-run Burford Garden Company which has three varieties of cut trees, from traditional Norways to non-drop Nordmanns, along with Fraser firs which are a new addition this year. Those looking for pot-grown trees will find Nordmanns on offer, while there are also two species of potted trees.
Cheltenham’s Dowdeswell Forestry has been selling Christmas trees since 1985, with four different varieties to choose from including Lodge Pole pines, Fraser firs, Norway spruces and resilient Nordmanns, spanning three to 15 feet tall. Those stocking up on logs can take advantage of its free tree delivery service, ensuring a stress-free start to the festive season.
