Majestic, magnificent and downright magical, it’s no wonder that unicorns can now be found adorning everything from bouncy castles through to doughnuts!
Here’s SoGlos’s roundup of the best Unicorn-themed experiences in Gloucestershire – perfect for getting your unicorn fix!
When we first posted a picture of the Unicorn Cake available at Rose Tree Farm pub in Kingsway, SoGlos readers went crazy!
Offering huge desserts to eat in or ‘cakeaway’, a slice of cake from this family-friendly pub and carvery isn’t for the fainthearted!
Smokey Joe’s Coffee Bar in Cheltenham is home to the Unicorn Hot Chocolate. Served with mini marshmallows, rainbow tape and an array of multi-coloured chocolates and sprinkles, you can’t help but smile when this gets delivered to your table!
School House Café is a community café in St Pauls Road in Cheltenham. Serving up delicious food and coffee all day, be sure to try the Unicorn Hot Chocolate which comes complete with a marshmallow horn!
Offering Unicorn appearances for Birthdays, pre-school visits and children’s activity groups, Cotswold Unicorns can add a little magic to a special day.
Cherry Blossom, Fairy and their handler travel between Cheltenham, Cirencester and Swindon for most of their appearances.
Back by popular demand, local bakery and café Jane’s Pantry teased the reintroduction of its Unicorn Iced Ring Doughnut back in July 2018.
A spokesperson for Jane’s Pantry told SoGlos that they were unable to confirm the exact date that the doughnuts are coming, but in the meantime, customers can enjoy a unicorn milkshake at its branches across Gloucester and Cheltenham.
Catherine’s Carriages is a Gloucester based company which hires our unicorns for appearances at weddings, birthday parties and family events.
There’s even the option to take in a riverside ride while you relax in a unicorn-pulled-carriage.
In addition to St James’ City Farm’s horse-riding lessons, there’s also the opportunity to learn to ride on a real unicorn during certain times of the year. The option is usually available during the school holidays, but it’s best to check with St James’ City Farm directly, before you travel.
The farm even provides unicorn visits to Gloucester Royal Hospital’s children’s centre and care homes.
Inspire Photography run by Kate Swaby specialises in taking beautiful images of children and families.
There’s now the chance to delight little ones by including a unicorn in their family photoshoot, thanks to Inspire Photography’s Unicorn Package.
With lots of great bouncy castle companies operating around Gloucestershire, there’s no shortage of options if you’re planning a party for a unicorn-mad youngster.
Some even have unicorn-themed soft play enclosures, as well as unicorn slides and bouncy castles to choose from.
