Local art lovers can soak up some lovely sights this summer, when local artist Lesley-Anne Doole hosts an exhibition at The Compton Gallery, the prestigious first showing of her new work.
Open to the public on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 June 2018, the display offers the chance for visitors to peruse Lesley-Anne Doole’s latest collection. Her recent works feature bold displays of colour, are often abstract, and always spontaneous.
Sure to offer a pleasant viewing experience, Lesley creates art out of acrylics, saying of her work: ‘I feel liberated by my somewhat explosive, sometimes risky, painting style but there still has to be a balance, no matter how daring, there has to be a sense of space, colour and shape’.
Currently living in Oxfordshire, Lesley is a British artist who has exhibited and sold her work all over the world, from London and the Cotswolds, to Spain and Africa.
