Marking his 80th birthday, Sir Ian McKellen is heading to Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre for a series of sold-out shows on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 May 2019.
The legendary actor will delight audiences in the first half when he performs as Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, promising plenty of anecdotes and charming tales.
Sir Ian McKellen will then focus the second-half of his performance on Shakespeare, treating audiences to lists of all 37 plays and speeches from the ones he’s performed in.
An incredible highlight in Gloucestershire’s calendar, this is the first time Sir Ian McKellen will perform at Everyman Theatre and all proceeds will provide bursaries for young people in Gloucestershire.
