Café Rene's Rhythm and Blues Festival will return in 2018 with a week packed full of music, food and drink, and local talent, all taking place in the heart of Gloucester.

Celebrating its 16th year running, Café Rene in Gloucester will once again be hosting its Rhythm and Blues Festival, offering an acclaimed musical line-up featuring 20 brilliant acts across seven days.

Taking place in the centre of the city from Monday 23 to Sunday 29 July 2018, the festival is sure to showcase the biggest and the best from the world of rhythm and blues, from brilliant bands to solo performances.

Visitors can also head to the Real Ale and Cider Festival, tuck into treats from the barbecue and hog roast, and sip on tipples from alfresco bars.

Performances throughout the week include The Worried Men, Troy Redfern, Buzzin Hornets, and Oliver Darling at the Main Bar; with The Lewis Creaven Band and Innes Sibun taking to the Green Stage in Greyfriars on Friday.

Also on the Green Stage, Saturday’s line-up includes Pistol Pete Wearn, The Achievers, Blackballed, and The Hot Tin Roofs; whilst Sunday features names such as Reverend Robert, The Swamp Stomp String Band, Storm Warning, and Elles Bailey.

A highlight on the summer festival calendar, the week-long feast of rhythm and blues takes place in and around Café Rene, promising an electric atmosphere in Gloucester.
