Editor's Choice FreeBack for its 17th year, Café René is celebrating Gloucester’s Rhythm and Blues Festival with seven days of music from local, national and international talent, plus cracking food and drink. And it’s free entry all week!
Taking place between Monday 29 July and Sunday 4 August 2019, 17 of the biggest and best rhythm and blues artists will be playing the live music venue’s outdoor stage in the heart of Gloucester.
Café René’s Real Ale and Cider Festival will be taking place simultaneously, with alfresco bars and food from the outdoor barbecue and hog roast too.

On Monday 29 July 2019 see Innes Sibun at 9.30pm.
On Tuesday 30 July 2019 see The Lewis Creaven Band at 9.30pm.
On Wednesday 31 July 2019 see Keith Thompson at 9.30pm.
On Thursday 1 August 2019 see Storm Warning at 9.30pm.
On Friday 2 August 2019 see Rodney Branigan at 7.30pm and Wille and the Bandits at 9pm on The Green Stage, while Ruzz Guitar's Blues Revue will be in the bar at 11pm.
On Saturday 3 August 2019 see Jim Crawford at 2pm, Built For Comfort at 3pm, The Swamp Stomp String Band at 4.30pm, Vincent Flatts Final Drive at 6pm, The Achievers at 7pm, and Stevie Nimmo Trio at 9pm, all on the The Green Stage.
And finally, on Sunday 4 August 2019, see Nehoda at 2pm, Clay Bottom Jug Busters at 3pm, Lucky Ol' Sun at 4.15pm, The Troy Redfern Band at 5.30pm, The Worried Men at 7pm, and Grainne Duffy at 8.30pm.
A highlight of Gloucestershire’s summer music festival calendar, the week-long celebration of rhythm and blues takes place in and around Gloucester, with an electric atmosphere always guaranteed at Café Rene.
And while the entertainment is free, once again fundraising will be taking place for the incredible local charity the James Hopkins Trust, so do make sure you buy a wristband and programme.
