The Seagrave Arms near Chipping Campden is a hidden foodie gem – and the cosy Cotswold coaching inn has just revealed its new spring and summer menu which champions British produce from Cotswold lamb, to Wye Vale asparagus.
Diners choosing from the a la carte menu can start with treacle soda bread with whipped salted butter, shiitake mushroom dumplings with dashi broth, goat's cheese parfait with confit peppers and olives, cured salmon with buttermilk dill and cucumber, or lamb belly with Romesco sauce and turnip tops.
For the main event, choose from Cotswold lamb with asparagus, black garlic and shepherd's pie, aged beef rump with hash brown, king oyster mushroom and Bordelaise sauce, pork loin with choucroute, crispy potatoes and Madeira sauce, halibut with braised fennel and Pernod sauce, or for a vegetarian option, pea, broad bean and asparagus tart with feta and citrus dressing.
Pair with sides like spring vegetable salad, beef fat chips, skinny fries, crispy pink fir potatoes with dill and mustard dressing, or peas, broad beans and sugar snaps with wild garlic Hollandaise for the ultimate indulgence.
And for a sweet finish, choose from raspberry souffle with vanilla ice cream, chocolate mousse with rum pineapple and honeycomb, vanilla panna cotta with forced rhubarb, or a plate of British cheeses, rosemary biscuits, lavosh crackers and apple chutney.

With two courses for £24 or three for £29, The Seagrave Arms also offers a great value lunch, with soup of the day, cod fish cakes with pea sauce, Wye Vale asparagus and wild garlic Hollandaise, or smoked pancetta with poached egg and watercress to start; followed by chicken galantine with Caesar-dressed leaves, smoked salmon and asparagus quiche with spring vegetable salad, sweetcorn and pearl barley risotto, or a hearty lamb suet pudding with spring greens for mains.
Those treating themselves to three courses can finish off with options including honey cream and blood orange compote or Caerphilly cheese with rosemary biscuits and apple chutney – or a selection of ice cream and sorbet, for a lighter dessert.
As the weather warms up, there's also a garden menu of bar snacks and pub classics to enjoy alfresco, too – see what's on the menu in SoGlos's Gloucestershire alfresco dining guide.
