Previously launching a collection with Forest Green Rovers and digitalising the teams football kit, Stroud’s virtual fashion house Republiqe has become the world’s first all-digital clothing brand – launching its latest collection just in time for London Fashion Week 2021.
Companies have been standing up to climate change and searching for alternatives to resource-draining materials, utilising technology to redefine the fashion industry through tech-driven digital clothing and creativity. By following this process, Republiqe aims to allow customers to indulge in extravagant, fast fashion apparel for online content, but with reduced harm to the planet.
Garments are e-fitted by Republiqe’s in-house 3D tailors, with final results emailed across to eco-conscious consumers, so that they can be posted online on social media.
James Gaubert, founder, and creative director of Republiqe said ‘Our latest collection, which we launched in line with London Fashion Week, is essentially built around an early 2000s revival.
The need to look and feel good online is of great consideration for this younger generation, and if it can be done in a way that’s sustainable, without compromising the world’s finite resources, then fashion brands should embrace this.’
