Kicking off the autumn season at Cirencester’s Barn Theatre, Daddy Long Legs is the first musical to take to the stage this year.

On the Cotswolds stage from Wednesday 2 October to Saturday 2 November 2019, Daddy Long Legs is based on Jean Webster’s classic novel that inspired the 1955 movie starring legendary dancer Fred Astaire.

The story, set in turn-of-the-century New England, tells the tale of orphan Jerusha Abbott who is sent to college by a mysterious benefactor, who she nicknamed Daddy Long Legs after his elongated shadow.

She goes on to write him letters that give an insight into her innermost thoughts, with themes of education, imagination and love intertwined throughout, while the stunning musical numbers will make your heart soar.
